Apple released Mac OS X 10.8, aka Mountain Lion. We recommend not upgrading in the short term. It is always a good idea to let a couple of updates come through before jumping up to the latest OS.
We have been testing on beta versions through out its development and our products look solid. So, if you are purchasing a new machine don't worry too much besides some quirky things with the operating system, your Sportstec software will be fine.

Make sure to update your operating to 10.6.8 if you are running Snow Leopard. If you are considering upgrading to Lion (10.7), we recommend that you install it on one machine first and check that all your applications work as expected. The initial release of any operating system can really cause problems.
We are recommending that users wait until 10.7.1 to upgrade to Lion. This will allow Apple some time to get a good amount of bugs fixed and make the transition from Snow Leopard to Lion a smoother one.

Apple released the Mac OS X 10.6.8 update last week. We strongly recommend all our users update their operating systems.
This update fixes the red flashing movie bug that started in 10.6.5. Our temporary fix was to disable the hardware acceleration which decreased movie playback and quality. Once you update your operating system, you can uncheck these options in your SportsCode general preferences.
Our next release, will not have these options in the preferences. If the software detects that the operating system is 10.6.5, 10.6.6 or 10.6.7, it will automatically disable the hardware acceleration. So, it is important to update!
