SPORTSCODE REGISTRATION TIPS

For everyone receiving their version 7 licenses upgrades or version 8 codes, here are a few things to know.

1. Version 8 requires Mac OS X 10.5 or above. Version 7.5 is for Mac OS X 10.5 and Version 7.4 is designed to be used with Mac OS X 10.4.

3. Version 8 registration codes have V8 in the code. As version 7 have V7 in the code.

4. Each license can only be used on one machine at a time. Do not try registering it on two or more machines, it will not work.

5. If you have a version 6 or version 7 registered on a computer, you must use the version 8 code where the first 5 numbers match the first 5 numbers of the code that is currently registered on that machine. Here is an example of the pattern. (The numbers that follow the first 5 are unique to every code.)

6. To find out which code is registered on a machine. Launch SportsCode and select System information... from the SportsCode drop down menu (Next to the apple in upper left hand corner of the screen). You will find the code in the Online ID line of the output window near the top.

7. After matching the codes, you can register the version 8 software right over the top of the old one.

SPORTSCODE v8.5.2 Release Notes

Release notes for SportsCode and SportsCode Gamebreaker version 8.5.2.

This version contains minor bug fixes and updates. We are asking everyone running SportsCode version 8 to upgrade to this version and upgrade your operating system to 10.6.8.

If you are running Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), then you should only run this version.

Fixes and Updates:

Updated Sporting Pulse import to handle various time precision values exported from Sporting Pulse software.
Updated Convert Movie Package and Matrix HTML Export features to better handle larger queues.
Enhanced Edit instance movie in the Sorter to handle H.264 movies better.
Fixed Sorter templates, so new columns are not added automatically and corrected the way in which the columns are added in the window.
Fixed multiple labels merging into one label when saving a Sorter window.
Fixed Commando Remote Sorter row up and down commands.
Fixed drawings in instance movies where a drawing would be repeated over several instances.
Fixed white flashes in the titles of standalone movies created from a movie organizer.
Fixed capture launch when consecutive iCal events are scheduled more than 24 hours apart.

SPORTSCODE v8.5.2

Download V8. Please have a registration code with V8 in the text of the code. You will not be able to run the software without this.

SPORTSCODE GAMEBREAKER v8.5.2

This installer is for SportsCode Gamebreaker Plus and Gamebreaker.

8.3.0a fixes the missing movie preference: Full screen movies: Use single field / Use both fields. This is important for users displaying interlaced HD video.

CODA

Download v1.2.1, the desktop version. There are two downloads available. The full installer has the manual with movies built into the installer. The full installer download is 37.6MB. The second download is the application only, download this if you are in a hurry.

This update includes new online coding and email features! Make sure to check out the manual for further information. We, paricularly, recommend watching the CODA Server movie in manual.

If you have purchased iCODA licenses with your CODA license, download iCODA through the iTunes App Store. This is best done directly on the device. Then, activate iCODA using the Command Centre in CODA.

CODA PDA

To install on most Sportstec recommended pda's, transfer the CODA_PPC.ARMV4.CAB file using bluetooth, and double tap on it to start the install. If you have an older version of CODA on your pda, uninstall it before installing the latest version. This is installer is created for Mac OS X.

MERCURY SCORESHEET

Mercury ScoreSheet is the perfect software for the Referees’ table and for the Chair (Principal Referee). Developed by Sportstec in close consultation with volleyball officials, Mercury Scoresheet is an important step for volleyball administration.

Mercury Scoresheet provides your volleyball league with a central register of players, a complete database of results from matches played and the schedule of future matches. This application is intuitive & easy to use and it works on all computer platforms. Thus a Mac or PC can run this application. Mercury Scoresheet is standalone software, but it remains usable through an online database which contains all the volleyball competition reference information.

Mercury Scoresheet is able to output dynamic match statistics while a match is in progress.

Mercury Scoresheet only connects to the Server at the beginning of a match and again at the end. At the beginning to download data from matches in progress, and at the end to update the server by saving the match data captured. This connection is normally through the internet and port 80. The security of the database update process is protected with secure and auditable password access that only the Match Officials have.

Here is the latest version of MOVIE CONVERTER for Mac OS X 10.6 and 10.7. This application converts movie files into Stream movies. Just drop the movie file onto the window and press Convert.

HANDBRAKE SETTINGS

These settings can be imported into Handbrake to help create files that work well in SportsCode, SportsCode Gamebreaker and Mercury.

To import the settings into Handbrake: Unzip the settings file, Launch Handbrake and choose Presets > Import... and Select the plist file to import. The settings will appear in the settings drawer.
