November 2011

Sportstec hosted the video exchange platform for all teams participating in the Rugby World Cup.  During the course of the tournament, there were 116 uploads and 713 downloads for a total of 1.8TB of video exchanged between the teams.

The transfer window is now closed and all files have been removed from the server. 
Sportstec is proud to have been a part of this project during the Rugby World Cup.  We look forward to working with everyone in the future.

Sportstec congratulates the Queensland Firebirds (Professional Womens Netball) on their winning the trans-Tasman (Australia & New Zealand) Netball League. The Firebirds are the first team in the history of the League to win the competition undefeated.   Read more ....

Whitgift School in the UK have retained the Daily Mail U18 Cup for Rugby Union. They are only the 4th team in the 20 year history of the competition to achieve this.

The premier schools rugby competition in Ireland is the Leinster Schools Cup. 2011 Leinster Schools Champions, Clongowes Wood, have exclusively used SportsCode software to take them to the final over the past 2 seasons when they have won the Cup on both occasions.

 Major League Soccer club New York Red Bulls, recently began using SportsCode Elite with CODA for remote and in-game coding.  This is proving to be a major advantage to them because they are now able to assemble key information during the game …. information that previously wasn't available to them for up to 36 hours after the game.  Read the Wall Street Journal's account of how the technology is affecting their game analysis.

The Irish Institute of Sport have recently purchased a full suite of Sportstec performance analysis software. Avenir Sports, who are Sportstec's Authorised Distributor in Ireland have been involved providing training for  Irish high   performance sports bodies.
